How the Ledger Works

The Decision Ledger provides immutable, transparent proof that decisions have been made and recorded. Here's how we achieve this at scale:

📦

Merkle Batching

Thousands of receipt hashes are combined using Merkle tree construction. Individual decisions remain private while batch integrity is cryptographically verifiable.

⏱️

OpenTimestamps

Each batch is timestamped using OpenTimestamps, providing cryptographic proof of when the batch existed. This creates a tamper-proof timeline of activity.

⛓️

Bitcoin Anchoring

The timestamp proof is anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain, creating permanent, distributed proof. Bitcoin's immutability and decentralization ensure these records cannot be altered.

Privacy by Design

The Decision Ledger proves activity happened without exposing decision content. No details about frameworks, outcomes, or decision rationale are published.

  • Only cryptographic hashes are exposed — never raw decision data
  • Batch proofs hide individual decision counts and timing
  • Bitcoin anchoring is decentralized and immutable
🔐

Zero knowledge of content. Full proof of activity.
